The Return of the King contains the final two books of The Lord of the Rings. It is an epic climax full with great battles as the War of the Ring goes into full swing. It tells of the deeds of the original members of the Fellowship and of those met along the way. It has plenty of action including classic showdowns, defending Minas Tirith, and the journey of Sam and Frodo.
