Meriadoc Brandybuck
Hobbit of the Shire born in 2982 of the Third Age. In 3018
he
became one of the 9 in the Fellowship of the Ring. At the breaking of the
Fellowship he
was captured by Orcs but escaped with Pippin into Fangorn Forest. There he met
Treebeard the Ent who he convinced to go to Isengard to attack. He became squire
to
Theoden, and gained great fame when he helped Eowyn defeat the Witch King. After
the
War he returned to the Shire to fight in the battle of Bywater. He married and
became
Master of Buckland. He returned to Gondor in and was buried there in the House
of
Kings.
