Galadriel

Elven Queen of Lothorien who was a Noldor Princess and was born in the Ages of Starlight. She and her brothers joined the Noldor who pursued Morgoth and the Silmarils to Middle-Earth and were exiled from The Undying Land. She married Celeborn Kinsman of Thingol in Doriath. After Morgoth was defeated by the Valar in the War of the Wrath, Galadriel was banned from Aman for she was the last surviving leader of the Noldor. She commanded one of the 3 Elven Rings of Power Nenya whose element was water. In the 8th century of the Second Age she moved to Lothorien the “Golden Wood.”  In the 3rd age Frodo brought the Ring of Power into Lothlorien during his quest to destroy it and offered it to her. She was deeply tempted by it but refused it. It was for this mostly that her ban from Aman was lifted. She gave shelter and magical gifts to the Fellowship, repelled an invasion, cast down the walls of Dol Guldor, and cleansed Mirkwood. After the War of the Ring she returned to the West with the Ring Bearers.
